El presente trabajo investigativo trata sobre “Cuidados empíricos en afecciones respiratorias en niños menores de 5 años en la comunidad de Illagua Chico”, el cual tiene como objetivo principal determinar los cuidados empíricos que aplican las madres de niños menores de 5 años en afecciones respiratorias. Para realizar el presente estudio utilizamos la investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva. Misma que se trabajó con el 100% de madres de niños menores de 5 años pertenecientes a la comunidad. El instrumento aplicado para la recolección de datos fue la encuesta cuyo formulario estuvo conformado por 8 preguntas entre abiertas y cerradas. En conclusión el 82% de la población utiliza cuidados empíricos, siendo de gran importancia para los habitantes debido a que se mantiene su interculturalidad, a través de sus aptitudes, creencias, tradiciones, experiencia y conocimientos que se van trascendiendo de generación en generación obteniendo resultados positivos para tratar diversidad de enfermedades, entre los principales tenemos las infusiones de tilo, malva y orozuz, entre los remedios caseros se emplean el mentol, ajo con leche, manteca de cacao, baños con agua caliente, baños con infusiones de plantas y aplicación de periódico o franela en el pecho de los infantes.
The present research work deals with "Empirical care in respiratory diseases in children under 5 years of age in the community of Illagua Chico", whose main objective is to determine the empirical care applied by mothers of children under 5 years of age in respiratory diseases. To carry out the present study we used quantitative, descriptive research. Same as he sat with 100% of mothers of children under 5 years of age belonging to the community. The instrument applied for the data collection was the one that consisted of 8 open and closed questions. In conclusion, 82% of the population uses empirical care, being of great importance for the inhabitants because their interculturality is maintained, through their aptitudes, beliefs, traditions, experience and knowledge that are transcended from generation to generation obtaining results positive to treat diversity of diseases, among the main ones we have the infusions of lime, mallow and licorice, among the home remedies are used menthol, garlic with milk, cocoa butter, hot water baths, baths with infusions of plants and application of newspaper or flannel on the infants chest.
