La PC es un problema que aqueja a muchas personas, es un desorden motor porque limita sus movimientos y muchas veces experimentan dificultades intelectuales, sensoriales y pueden poseer limitaciones complicadas en situaciones de autocuidado como vestido, baño, alimentación, y traslado. La investigación es de importancia debido a que se conocerá con exactitud la cantidad de personas que padecen parálisis cerebral en los Centros diurnos de Discapacidad en la Provincia de Tungurahua, como también que se dan patologías frecuentes que aquejan a las personas en condiciones vulnerables
