Las PYMES cumplen un rol social importante en el país, en diferentes factores como son: la apertura de puestos de trabajo, la aportación económica, incremento en el PIB nacional, conocimiento internacional de los productos. Pues se ha permitido formarse en conjunto con la sociedad y el mercado para que sobresalgan las necesidades que la población tiene y pueda ser satisfecha ya que al asistir a una empresa grande muchas veces no son atendidos sus pedidos por lo que con el pasar de los años se ha venido formando pequeños entes económicos que muchas veces es formado en las familias para alcanzar las demandas de las minoría. Se ha tomado en cuenta para la presente investigación las obligaciones que tienen las Pymes con la sociedad, considerando así el tema de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial y el papel que desempeñan las entidades para retribuir en agradecimiento al medio ambiente por lo que toman de ella para la transformación de la materia prima en producto terminado que brinde utilidades y ganancias en lo que se respecta a la ciudad de Ambato.
