El presente trabajo de titulaci?n tiene como prop?sito: dise?ar un centro de interpretaci?n hist?rico y etnol?gico del Ecuador mediante un sistema de recursos did?cticos y su tratamiento metodol?gico para el fortalecimiento del proceso de ense?anza-aprendizaje de las Ciencias Sociales, en Educaci?n general b?sica. Este dise?o se fortalece de manera te?rica a partir de los escritos de Freeman Tilden, pionero de la interpretaci?n del patrimonio como disciplina y de la did?ctica de las ciencias sociales, did?ctica del patrimonio, el m?todo hist?rico, el m?todo etnogr?fico y los centros de interpretaci?n estudiados por profesionales como Joaquim Prats y Joan Santacana, quienes abogan por la necesidad de un cambio en el tratamiento de las ciencias sociales en las instituciones educativas. El proyecto se apoya en un diagn?stico realizado a trav?s de la sistematizaci?n de diarios de campo, entrevistas, grupos focales y de la observaci?n participante, lo que proporciona un panorama ?general? de contexto en la que los investigadores han realizado sus diferentes pr?cticas preprofesionales, con la observaci?n participante se obtiene una impresi?n de primera mano sobre el funcionamiento del centro de interpretaci?n. Como resultados principales de esta investigaci?n se propone un centro de interpretaci?n, ajustado a contexto escolar rural, apoyado en la construcci?n de la metodolog?a que ayuda a la implementaci?n y su uso, por parte de estudiantes de EGB y docentes de Ciencias Sociales en las instituciones educativas.
The main purpose of this thesis work is: a center for historical and ethnological interpretation through a system of didactic resources and its methodological treatment for the strengthening of the teaching-learning process of the social sciences, in basic general education. This design is strengthened theoretically from the writings of Freeman Tilden, pioneer of heritage interpretation as a discipline; and, the didactic of the social sciences, the didactic of the patrimony, the historical method, the ethnographic method and the centers of interpretation, worked by Joaquim Prats and Joan Santacana, who mention the necessity of a change in the treatment of social sciences in educational institutions. The project was based on a diagnosis made through the systematization of field diaries, interviews, focus groups and participatory observation, which provided a "general" picture of the area in which users have performed their practical pre-professional practices, the participant observation cannot get a firsthand impression about the operation of the interpretation center. As main results of this research, we aspire to achieve the design of the interpretation center and the creation of the methodology that helps its application and the use of Social Sciences teachers in educational institutions.
