En la sociedad contempor?nea, los ciudadanos se enfrentan a una gran cantidad de gr?ficas estad?sticas que tienen que ser analizados e interpretados para la comprensi?n de hechos y fen?menos de la realidad. En ese sentido, el Curr?culo Nacional ecuatoriano del 2016 propone el estudio del bloque de Estad?stica y Probabilidad desde el primer a?o de EGB. El presente trabajo de titulaci?n tiene como objetivo proponer una estrategia did?ctica basada en el ciclo investigativo PPDAC (Problema, Plan, Datos, An?lisis, Conclusiones), para la ense?anza y aprendizaje de las representaciones gr?ficas de datos estad?sticos en el octavo a?o de EGB. El proyecto surge como respuesta a la problem?tica identificada en relaci?n con el tratamiento y representaci?n de datos. Este se caracteriza por la poca participaci?n de los estudiantes en la adquisici?n de sus aprendizajes, como tambi?n por la utilizaci?n de problemas estad?sticos con un nivel de complejidad bajo, lo cual los hace menos interesantes y menos ?tiles para aprender. La investigaci?n asume un enfoque mixto, por tanto, los datos recolectados son tanto del punto de vista cuantitativo como cualitativo. El tipo de estudio es longitudinal, raz?n por el cual, se presentan resultados en tres momentos. Los resultados permiten concluir que, la propuesta de intervenci?n contribuye a la ense?anza y aprendizaje de las representaciones gr?ficas de datos estad?sticos, porque comprende los elementos que componen una estrategia did?ctica, logrando que el aprendizaje muestre un 76.9% (30/39) de estudiantes que elaboran correctamente los gr?ficos estad?sticos y el 79.5% (31/39) que analizan adecuadamente las gr?ficas estad?sticas.
In contemporary society, citizens face a large number of statistical graphs that have to be analyzed and interpreted for the understanding of facts and phenomena of reality. In that sense, the Ecuadorian National Curriculum of 2016 proposes the study of the Statistics and Probability since the first year of EGB. The objective of this project is to propose a didactic strategy based on the PPDAC research cycle, for the teaching and learning of graphic representations of statistical data in the eighth year of EGB. The project arises as a response to the problem identified in relation to the processing and representation of data. This is characterized by the low participation of students in the acquisition of their learning, as well as the use of statistical problems with a low level of complexity, which makes them less interesting and less useful for learning. The research assumes a mixed approach, therefore, the data collected are both quantitative and qualitative. The type of study is longitudinal, which is why results are presented in three moments. The results allow us to conclude that the intervention proposal contributes to the teaching and learning of the graphic representations of statistical data, because it includes the elements that make up a didactic strategy, making the learning show 76.9% (30/39) of students who correctly prepare the statistical graphs and 79.5% (31/39) that properly analyze the statistical graphs
