Debido a que en las personas no existe un buen comportamiento frente a los tratamientos odontológicos, se determinó utilizar para este estudio una serie de preguntas propuestas por Nutall, que permitirá identificar la presencia de indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico en las personas encuestadas. OBJETIVO: EL objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la relación entre el nivel de ingresos económicos y la indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico en adultos de 18 a 44 años de edad de la parroquia Gil Ramírez Dávalos de Cuenca-Ecuador en el año 2017. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: El tipo de estudio que se realizó fue casos y controles, las cuales mediante el muestreo por conveniencia se obtuvo 146 casos y 146 controles. RESULTADOS: Se evidenció un número igual de casos y controles por el emparejamiento, demostrando que existe un mayor número de personas con ingreso económico bajo presentándose como indiferentes, prevaleciendo el mayor número de encuestados en las mujeres. CONCLUSIONES: No existe una relación entre el nivel de ingresos económicos y la indiferencia al tratamiento odontológico.
Because there is no good behavior in people with dental treatments, it was determined to use for this study a series of questions proposed by Nutall, which will allow us to identify the presence of indifference to dental treatment in the people surveyed. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of economic income and the indifference to dental treatment in adults aged 18 to 44 years old from the parish of Gil Ramírez Dávalos de Cuenca-Ecuador in 2017. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The type of study that was carried out was cases and controls, which by means of convenience sampling, 146 cases and 146 controls were obtained. RESULTS: An equal number of cases and controls was evidenced by the pairing, showing that there is a greater number of people with low income, presenting as indifferent, with the largest number of respondents prevailing among women. CONCLUSIONS: There is no relationship between the level of economic income and indifference to dental treatment.
