El presente artículo aborda la figura del trabajo autónomo por parte del Estado y los gobiernos autónomos. El objetivo de la investigación fue demostrar que a los trabajadores autónomos del Cantón Cañar no se les garantiza el derecho al trabajo reconocido en la Constitución de la república del Ecuador tampoco se les garantiza la seguridad social y principios de igualdad. En cuanto a metodología el estudio se realizó desde el enfoque cualitativo a través de referencias bibliográficas, mediante un método inductivo-deductivo con diseño documental bibliográfico, no experimental. Para indagar la falta de garantías a los derechos de los trabajadores autónomos con el fin de lograr determinar los déficits, se identificó la historia e importancia de los trabajadores autónomos, se analizó la importancia y beneficios del seguro social con referencia aportes, salud, jubilación y por último se analizó las ordenanzas vigentes y las medidas tomadas por el estado a favor de los trabajadores autónomos.
This article addresses the figure of self-employment by the State and autonomous governments. This research aimed to demonstrate that self-employed workers in Cañar Canton are neither guaranteed the right to work recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador nor the social security and principles of equality. In terms of methodology, the study was conducted from a qualitative approach through bibliographic references, using an inductive-deductive method with a non-experimental bibliographic documentary design. The aim was to investigate the lack of guarantees forto the rights of self-employed workers to determine the deficits. The history and significance of selfemployed workers were identified. The importance and benefits of social security were analyzed regarding contributions, health, and retirement. Finally, the current ordinances and measures taken by the state in favor of self-employed workers were examined.
