El actual trabajo contiene el tema de caracterización de procesos en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Intercultural y Plurinacional del Municipio de Cayambe. El objetivo de la investigación es determinar el problema que existe en la dirección de Desarrollo Económico y Turismo, y realizar el Levantamiento Diseño y Caracterización de procesos con esto mejorar el proceso de actividades que se desarrolla, así dar un mejor funcionamiento a la dirección y de esta manera minimizar los tiempos de espera en las actividades y requerimientos de los usuarios tanto internos como externos. Para la preparación de este documento se utilizó diferentes métodos, técnicas e instrumentos estratégicos. La cual se considera el método inductivodeductivo y analítico- sintético para un mejor análisis. Las técnicas manejadas son entrevista y observación directa, la cual nos permitieron tener claro la realidad de la Dirección de Desarrollo Económico y Turismo. La investigación ayudó a determinar que la dirección no tiene componentes que ayudan a definir las funciones de cada empleado y no existe el conocimiento de procesos y actividades por lo que es importante contribuir con la caracterización de procesos para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de la institución y brindar un servició eficiente a los usuarios.
The current work contains the subject of characterization of processes in the Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Intercultural y Plurinacional del Municipio de Cayambe. The objective of the investigation is to determine the problem that exists in the direction of Economic Development and Tourism, and to carry out the Survey, Design and Characterization of processes, improving the process of activities that are done, giving a enhance the functioning of the direction and minimizing the waiting times for the activities and requirements of both internal and external users. For the preparation of this document, different methods, techniques and strategic instruments were used. The method that was considered is the inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic method for a better analysis. The techniques used are interview and direct observation, which allowed us to be clear about the reality of the Directorate of Economic Development and Tourism. The research helped to determine that management does not have components that help to define the functions of each employee and there is no knowledge of processes and activities, so it is important to contribute with the characterization of processes for the fulfillment of the objectives of the institution and provide efficient service to users.
