Centro Educativo Monte Sinaí, es un proyecto vinculado a Fundación Kairós, para el uso y beneficio de los niños, y la comunidad en Monte Sinaí. Este proyecto responde ante la necesidad de brindar a niños y adolescentes un espacio seguro de estudio, enfocado a una atención integral. La propuesta analiza tres niveles educativos, educación inicial, primaria y secundaria, además de áreas comunitarias para el sector, Esta propuesta proyecta, una investigación previa, que efectúo un análisis de sitio, condicionantes del lugar y un programa arquitectónico que permitió la ejecución del proyecto. Centro Educativo Monte Sinaí se plantea como parte de una solución inmediata a los problemas educacionales y sociales que vive esta comunidad, pues muchas unidades educativas se han visto obligadas a su cierre después de verse inactivas a causa del distanciamiento social con el COVID-19, y no poder reincorporarse por la falta de mantenimiento, La propuesta final del proyecto educativo refleja criterios y estrategias basadas en las necesidades de los niños de Monte Sinaí, y busca integrarse a través de su materialidad, con paneles de bambú como envolvente y grandes espacios abiertos.
Monte Sinai Educational Center, is a project linked to Kairos Foundation, for the use and benefit of children, and the community in Monte Sinai. This project responds to the need to provide children and adolescents with a safe space for study, focused on comprehensive care. The proposal analyzes three educational levels, initial, primary and secondary education, in addition to community areas for the sector, This proposal projects, a previous research, which carried out a site analysis, conditioning of the place and an architectural program that allowed the execution of the project. Monte Sinai Educational Center is proposed as part of an immediate solution to the educational and social problems that this community lives, since many educational units have been forced to close after being inactive because of the social distancing with the COVID-19, and unable to rejoin due to lack of maintenance, The final proposal of the educational project reflects criteria and strategies based on the needs of the children of Monte Sinai, and seeks to integrate through its materiality, with bamboo panels as an envelope and large open spaces.
