Reforma a la ley del deporte, educación física y recreación sobre la finalidad no lucrativa de las Asociaciones Deportivas.

La Ley ecuatoriana no permite que las organizaciones deportivas obtengan beneficios económicos y se los repartan entre sus socios. Esto es una discriminación al sector privado de la economía deportiva. Los legisladores ecuatorianos que redactaron la Ley se olvidaron de la evolución de los deportes y del gran negocio que es. Durante muchos años el deporte fue considerado como una actividad meramente recreacional pero gracias a los avances tecnológicos y a los medios de comunicación masiva, los deportes son considerados, hoy en día, una industria. La profesionalización ha traído como consecuencia que los jugadores empiecen a ser remunerados. Hay dos caminos para desechar del ordenamiento jurídico una disposición que afecta a las personas. La primera es que la Asamblea reforme la ley y la segunda que la Corte Constitucional aplique los derechos reconocidos en la constitución a ejercer actividades económicas y asociarse libremente y declare la inconstitucionalidad del artículo en cuestión.
The Ecuadorian law does not allow sport organizations to obtain economic benefits from their partners; this is a total relegation from the economy for the private sector. Ecuadorian legislators who redacted the law forgot about the evolution of sport so it was just considered a recreational activity, instead of of a giant business, as it actually is. Many years ago physical activities were considered only recreational, but, thanks to the technological advances and the mass media, sports are now considered an industry all over the world; as the players were becoming professionals they started being paid. There are two ways to retire from the legislation a law that affects people in many ways. The first one is by changing the law, which has to be approved by the Congress and the second one is by bringing a claim before the Constitutional Court (Supreme Court) in order to apply the rights that are recognized by the Ecuadorian constitution, considering that every person has the right to associate with others and involve in economic activities.
