This research work seeks to identify the causes that cause delays in the generation of corporate quotes in Seguros Equinoccial S.A., through the Six Sigma methodology; to achieve reduce the cycle time of the process and improve customer satisfaction in relation to compliance with their requirements. In the second chapter, DMAIC Development, the justification and the objectives of the project are defined; then, in the analysis phase, the process is described and its performance measures are studied in relation to cycle times and waiting times between activities; then, the results obtained from the measurement are analyzed and actions are proposed to reduce the cycle time of the process; Finally, control measures are suggested to ensure the implementation of the proposals. The following chapter shows the feasibility of implementing the suggested improvements, in relation to the development time and the potential return on investment. Finally, the conclusions obtained in the study on the reduction of the cycle time of the process of generation of corporate contributions, through the DMAIC cycle, are presented, and recommendations are made to the company.
Este trabajo de investigación busca identificar las causas que ocasionan demoras en la generación de cotizaciones corporativas en Seguros Equinoccial S.A., a través de la metodología Seis Sigma; para lograr reducir el tiempo de ciclo del proceso y mejorar la satisfacción de los clientes en relación al cumplimiento de sus requisitos. En el segundo capítulo, Desarrollo DMAIC, se definen la justificación y los objetivos del proyecto; luego, en la fase de analizar, se describe el proceso y se estudian sus medidas de desempeño en relación a tiempos de ciclo y de espera entre actividades; seguidamente, se analizan los resultados obtenidos de la medición y se proponen acciones para reducir el tiempo de ciclo del proceso; finalmente, se sugieren medidas de control que aseguren la implementación de las propuestas. En el capítulo siguiente se muestra la factibilidad de implementación de las mejoras sugeridas, en relación al tiempo de desarrollo y al potencial retorno por sobre la inversión. Por último, se plantean las conclusiones obtenidas en el estudio sobre la reducción del tiempo de ciclo del proceso de generación de cotizaciones corporativas, a través del ciclo DMAIC, y se exponen recomendaciones hacia la empresa.
