The School of Architecture decided to cooperate with the Municipality of the Metropolitan District of Quito in the urban design of the metropolitan center of Valle de los Chillos. This work represents the academic effort of the architecture career in its interest to improve the links with the local community to ensure that the metropolitan space is constituted in a place that favors the improvement of the habitat and the quality of life of its inhabitants. In order to support and promote the structure of the territory defined as the urban center of Valle de los Chillos, project workshop VII has defined a system of equipment and land uses within which the proposed Integral Educational Unit project has been considered Of the reflection of the problem described below; The problem found after an in-depth analysis, which we have as a result of which there are no adequate or planned spaces for housing 20% of students who come outside the province of Pichincha to study agricultural engineering. It proposes a housing equipment with recreational and collective spaces that facilitate the initiative of the students, an intellectual concentration camp so that there are exchanges of cultural knowledge and create experiences of experimental learning. The residential equipment should satisfy the offer of 20% of IASA students who come from different provinces to the valley of chillos, and young people seeking independence. We also seek to grow internationally by taking advantage of the quality of our country’s soil and climate for the development of agroindustries, and to provide young people abroad with the opportunity to become trained professionals with the equipment and skills for their future.
Para el desarrollo del trabajo de fin de carrera, la Escuela de Arquitectura decidió cooperar con el Municipio del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito en el diseño urbano de la centralidad metropolitana del Valle de los Chillos. Este trabajo representa el esfuerzo académico de la carrera de arquitectura en su interés de mejorar los vínculos con la comunidad local para conseguir que el espacio metropolitano se constituya en un lugar que favorezca al mejoramiento del hábitat y la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Para apoyar y potenciar la estructura del territorio definido como la centralidad urbana del Valle de los Chillos, el taller de proyectos VII ha definido un sistema de equipamientos y de usos de suelo dentro de los que se ha considerado el proyecto Unidad Educativa Integral propuesto a partir de la reflexión del problema que se describe a continuación; La problemática encontrada después de un análisis profundo, el cual tenemos como resultados de que no existen espacios adecuados o planificados para el alojamiento del 20% de estudiantes que vienen fuera de la provincia de Pichincha para estudiar la ingeniería agropecuaria. Se propone un equipamiento de vivienda con espacios recreativos y colectivos que faciliten la iniciativa de los estudiantes, un campo de concentración intelectual para que existan intercambios de conocimiento culturales y crear experiencias de aprendizaje experimental. El equipamiento residencial debería satisfacer la oferta del 20% de estudiantes del IASA que vienen de diferentes provincias al valle de los chillos, y jóvenes que busquen la independencia. También buscar crecer internacionalmente aprovechando la calidad de suelo y clima de nuestro país para el desarrollo de agro-industrias, y para brindar a los jóvenes del extranjero la oportunidad de convertirse en profesionales capacitados con los equipamientos y destrezas para su futuro.
