Description

For the development of workshop VII of the semester 2016-2, the school of Architecture decided to cooperate with the Municipality of the Metropolitan District in the urban design of the metropolitan center of Chillos. This work represents the academic effort of the Faculty of Architecture to improve the links with the local community, to make the metropolitan space become a place that contributes to the well-being and quality of life of its inhabitants. The project of titulación forms part of the urban proposal with the objective to solve a deficit of cultural-educational equipments in all the study area of the new centrality of the Chillos. This sector is made up of subcenters and the project is located in the urban part with an educational vocation in the sector of Conocoto, where the main potential users are students, who need a space to investigate, make spaces or spaces for reading. The Library will aim to cover the above mentioned needs for the general public, with the intention that the users of the sector do not move to other places where they have this type of equipment and providing a self-education for those who do not have the possibility of Access to an educational institution, but who wish to be educated on their own.
Para el desarrollo del taller VII del semestre 2016-2, la escuela de Arquitectura decidió cooperar con el Municipio del Distrito Metropolitano en el diseño urbano de la centralidad metropolitana de los Chillos. Este trabajo representa el esfuerzo académico de la facultad de arquitectura por mejorar los vínculos con la comunidad local, para conseguir que el espacio metropolitano se vuelva un lugar que aporte al bienestar y a la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. El proyecto de titulación forma parte de la propuesta urbana con el objetivo de solventar un déficit de equipamientos culturales-educativos en toda el área de estudio de la nueva centralidad de los Chillos. Este sector está conformado por subcentralidades y el proyecto está ubicado en la pieza urbana con vocación educativa en el sector de Conocoto, en donde los principales usuarios potenciales son estudiantes, los cuales necesitan un espacio para investigar, hacer tareas o espacios para la lectura. La Biblioteca tendrá como objetivo cubrir las necesidades mencionadas para el público en general, con la intención de que los usuarios del sector no se desplacen a otros lugares donde tengan este tipo de equipamientos y brindando una educación autodidacta para aquellas personas que no tengan la posibilidad de acceder a una institución educativa, pero que deseen instruirse por su cuenta.
