The prevention of occupational hazards in the Municipal Fire Department of Canton Guaranda, is so necessary for the work carried out for the quality of service offered to the community and especially as human beings are exposed to accidents that cause injuries or occupational diseases. With such antecedents and before the little knowledge on the subject, the objective was to identify and define the main occupational risk factors through methods, techniques and analysis tools that allowed the development of a Manual of Procedures for the Prevention of Labor Risks in the Body Municipal Fire Department of the Guaranda canton. To this end, the theoretical foundation of the subject was carried out by citing several authors who scientifically contribute on the types of risk factors and evaluation methods that can be implemented in institutions that, like this one, their workers are exposed to a series of hazards. by the nature of its functions. The evaluation of mechanical risks was carried out using the Willian Fin Method, the ergonomic factors were determined through the Ergo / IBV Software and the Psychosocial Evaluation Test [CoPsoQ-istas21] establishing the real situation of the Operative Personnel and certain important characteristics of the process. With these results it was concluded that the main risk factors to which firefighters are exposed are the psychosocial, ergonomic and mechanical themselves that determine a psychological state of low self-esteem and esteem for the future, are exposed to suffer ergonomic injuries because they carry out mechanical work that goes beyond the limits of their resistance and has not carried out professional training and technical training processes to prevent negative consequences for their workers in their life and health. This in turn allowed designing the Manual of Procedures for the Prevention of Occupational Risks, which is expected to be useful and improve the quality of life, health and work of firefighters.
La prevención de riesgos laborales en el Cuerpo de Bomberos Municipal del Cantón Guaranda, es tan necesaria para las labores que llevan a cabo por la calidad de servicio que ofrecen a la comunidad y sobre todo porque como seres humanos están expuestos a sufrir accidentes que ocasionen lesiones o enfermedades profesionales. Con tales antecedentes y ante el poco conocimiento sobre la temática se planteó como objetivos identificar y definir los principales factores de riesgos laborales a través de métodos, técnicas e instrumentos de análisis que permitieron desarrollar un Manual de Procedimientos para la prevención de Riesgos Laborales en el Cuerpo de Bomberos Municipal del cantón Guaranda. Para ello se realizó la fundamentación teórica de la temática a través de citar varios autores que aportan científicamente sobre las clases de factores de riesgos y métodos de evaluación que se pueden implementar en las instituciones que, como ésta, sus trabajadores están expuestos a una serie de peligros por la naturaleza de sus funciones. La evaluación de los riesgos mecánicos se utilizó el Método de Willian Fin, los factores ergonómicos se determinaron a través del Sofware Ergo/IBV y el Test de Evaluación Psicosocial [CoPsoQ-istas21] estableciendo la situación real por la que atraviesa el Personal Operativo y de ciertas características importantes del proceso. Con dichos resultados se llegó a concluir que los principales factores de riesgos a los que están expuestos los bomberos son los psicosociales, ergonómicos y mecánicos mismos que determinan un estado psicológico de baja autoestima y estima por el futuro, están expuestos a sufrir lesiones ergonómicas porque se ejecutan trabajos mecánicos que sobrepasan los límites de su resistencia y no se ha ejecutado procesos de capacitación y formación técnica profesional para prevenir en los trabajadores consecuencias negativas en su vida y salud. Esto permitió a su vez diseñar el Manual de Procedimientos para la Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, que se espera sea de utilidad y mejore la calidad de vida, salud y trabajo de los bomberos.
