The existing infrastructure that USFQ has at the moment for its artistic subjects is not enough in order to function properly. The current spaces have too much fragmentation and this affects the learning process of the students. The project proposes the design of a building that would include the necessary spaces for visual arts, scenic arts, architecture and industrial design, all together in one unit. Currently, inside campus, each one of the arts has its own separate building. The idea of constructing one single structure expects to promote interdisciplinary learning between the arts. One of the main characteristics that the arts share is that they have the aim of being showed and appreciated by the public. The idea of the project is to highlight this necessity of exhibition as a main part of the learning process, by creating spaces that would allow the inclusion between the city and the university.
Las carreras artísticas de la USFQ actualmente no cuentan con toda la infraestructura necesaria para funcionar de la mejor manera. Los espacios existentes se encuentran muy fragmentados y esto afecta el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. El proyecto propone el diseño de un edificio que incluya los espacios necesarios para artes visuales, artes escénicas, arquitectura y diseño industrial en una sola facultad. En este momento, dentro del campus, cada una tiene su propio edificio separado. La idea del proyecto es construir una sola facultad con el fin de promover el aprendizaje interdisciplinario entre las artes. Una de las características más importantes que comparten las artes es que tienen el fin de ser exhibidas y apreciadas por el público. La idea del Proyecto es resaltar esta necesidad de exhibición como parte principal del aprendizaje, por medio de espacios que permitan la inclusión entre la ciudad y el campus.
