The principle objective of this investigation is to analyze and understand the fundamental principles of modern architecture. Eventually, these principles will be applied in an architectural project that would be adapted to the difficulties and characteristics of the site, creating a project that belongs not only to the immediate context, but also to the city. Le Corbusier’s “Free Plan” is the principle used as a base to develop the project; it has been understood as a method of spatial organization where its components works independently, but at the same time are complicit with each other. These components vary according to their needs providing enough freedom to generate many possibilities of composition and use. This condition provides to the project a flexibility that allows the proper belonging to the place where it is implanted. The project is developed and conceived as an element whose main objective is based on respect and dialogue with the immediate context. The interior of a block, an abandoned space, unused and forgotten, is reactivated with a project that fits inside. The appropriate strategy for a site so complicated, is based in different reactions to their own irregularities, adapting the elements of the project to the existing ones.
El objetivo del presente trabajo busca analizar y entender los principios fundamentales de la arquitectura moderna, posteriormente, estos serán aplicados en un proyecto arquitectónico, el cual, se acoplara a las dificultades y características del sitio, generando una pertenencia no solo al contexto inmediato, sino también a la ciudad. El Plan Libre, es el principio fundamental usado como base para generar el proyecto, se lo toma como un método de organización espacial, donde sus componentes se individualizan y trabajan independientemente, pero al mismo tiempo son cómplice unos con otros. Estos componentes varían según sus necesidades, por lo que existen múltiples posibilidades de composición, lo que genera la libertad suficiente para que tengan tanto un uso fijo como variable, dotando al proyecto de una flexibilidad de adaptación que permite la correcta apropiación del lugar donde se implanta. El proyecto se desarrolla y se concibe como un elemento implantado, cuyo objetivo principal se basa en respetar y dialogar con el contexto inmediato. El interior de la manzana, un espacio abandonado, sin uso y olvidado, se reactiva con un proyecto que se adapta a su interior. La estrategia para apropiarse de un terreno tan complicado, es reaccionar ante sus propias irregularidades adaptando y ordenando, de alguna manera, los elementos que caracterizan el lugar.
