La investigación se efectúa en un contexto analítico el cual tiene como objetivo principal determinar la incidencia de tendinitis rotuliana en los deportistas que practican baloncesto y forman parte de la Federación Deportiva de Tungurahua (F.D.T) esto debido al gesto deportivo presente al practicar esta disciplina deportiva a lo que a dicha patología se le atribuye el nombre de rodilla de saltador, por lo que se realiza una revisión bibliográfica de las historias clínicas del departamento médico de la F.D.T; Esta investigación es de tipo descriptivo y diseño documental debido a que adquiriremos información mediante un análisis de las historias clínicas del departamento médico de la Federación Deportiva de Tungurahua. La población encuestada fue 52 deportistas de los cuales 31 presentaron la lesión.
