This master's thesis addresses the importance of pedagogical strategies in the application of the Project-Based Learning methodology, as a technique for improving the attentional process of students. Since, one of the factors that limits learning is the little attention to the class that the teacher teaches in the classroom, in view of this, applied techniques and strategies have shown to be a strategy that allows students to be motivated and therefore to be concentrated. in educational activities. The main objective of the research is to determine the influence that PBL has on the attentional process. The research has as study population the fourth grade students of the Oswaldo Guayasamín school in the City of Quevedo, the selected sample corresponds to 71 students, to whom the questionnaire instrument was applied through the survey technique, the The instrument was validated for reliability. Among the main results, it stands out that the students show an interest in using the activities that involve them directly. The PBL methodology significantly affects the attentional process, in such a way that each time it is used, the students show interest in the class. Finally, it is concluded that every time students work with learning methods different from the traditional ones, they show interest in knowing the new way of learning. The ABP improves the attentional process in fourth grade students, because they have a high interest in learning new things.

La presente tesis de maestría aborda la importancia de las estrategias pedagógicas en la aplicación de la metodología Aprendizaje Basado en Proyecto, como técnica de mejora en el proceso atencional de los estudiantes. Puesto que, uno de los factores que limita el aprendizaje es la poca atención a la clase que imparte el docente en el aula, ante ello, técnicas y estrategias aplicadas han mostrado ser una estrategia que permite que los alumnos se motiven y por ende estén concentrados en las actividades pedagógicas. Como objetivo principal en la investigación se busca determinar la influencia que tiene el ABP en el proceso atencional. La investigación tiene como población objeto de estudio a los estudiantes de cuarto grado de la escuela Oswaldo Guayasamín de la Ciudad de Quevedo, la muestra seleccionada corresponde a 71 estudiantes, a los cuales se aplicó el instrumento del cuestionario mediante la técnica de la encuesta, el instrumento fue validado por confiabilidad, Entre los principales resultados, se destaca que los alumnos muestran un interés por utilizar las actividades que los involucra de forma directa. La metodología ABP incide significativamente en el proceso atencional, de tal manera que cada vez que se emplea a los alumnos presentan interés por la clase. Finalmente, se concluye que cada vez que los alumnos trabajan con métodos de aprendizajes diferentes a los tradicional, muestran interés por conocer la nueva forma de aprender. El ABP mejora el proceso atencional en los estudiantes de cuarto grado, porque tienen un alto interés por conocer nuevas cosas.
