El mito como instrumento para reforzar la lectoescritura en materias integradas es el t?tulo que lleva este trabajo de investigaci?n, y como se menciona, el objetivo principal es reforzar las competencias lectoescritoras y fortalecer el aprendizaje de c?digos ling??sticos indispensables para la comprensi?n y desarrollo de los diferentes contenidos que se abarcan en las ?reas de conocimiento. Para esta investigaci?n propusimos un enfoque metodol?gico cualitativo socio-cr?tico, de tipo exploratorio, con un dise?o de investigaci?n- acci?n. Se trabaj? con ni?os de cuarto y s?ptimo grado de la Unidad Educativa Comunitaria Intercultural Biling?e ?ABC? de la Comunidad de Tenta-Saraguro. Para la recolecci?n de informaci?n se cont? con la participaci?n de autoridades, padres de familia y la comunidad en general. El mito de la ?Mama Supalata?, nos permiti? durante las tres fases de investigaci?n acci?n, generar actividades y contenidos contextualizados con base en la tradici?n oral Kichwa- Saraguro. Se concluye que el mito no solo aport? para el refuerzo de la lectoescritura sino tambi?n para la identificaci?n y valorizaci?n de instrumentos y saberes propios de la comunidad que aportan de manera ?ptima en el proceso de ense?anza-aprendizaje de los alumnos.
The myth as an instrument to reinforce literacy in integrated subjects is the title of this research work, and as mentioned, the main objective is to reinforce literacy skills and strengthen the learning of linguistic codes essential for the understanding and development of the different contents covered in the areas of knowledge. For this research we proposed a qualitative socio-critical methodological approach, of an exploratory type, with an action-research design. We worked with fourth and seventh grade children of the Intercultural Bilingual Community Educational Unit "ABC" of the Tenta-Saraguro Community. Authorities, parents and the community in general also participated in the collection of information. The myth of "Mama Supalata" allowed us during the action research phases to generate activities and contextualized content based on the Kichwa Saraguro oral tradition. It is concluded that the myth not only contributed to the reinforcement of reading and writing, but also to the identification and valorization of instruments and knowledge of the community that contribute optimally to the teaching-learning process of the students.
